Part Curious Buttn is an independent handbook for drivers who want to recognise a control or symbol and understand the limits of what a general guide can say.

What we read
We compare owner's manuals from a range of manufacturers with published references: ISO 2575 for symbols, UN Regulation No. 121 and FMVSS 101 for controls and displays, SAE J3016 for automation levels, and public guidance from bodies such as NHTSA and Euro NCAP. Where a pattern is widely shared, we describe it. Where models diverge, we say so.
How we write
- We separate convenience settings from warning indicators.
- We never rely on colour alone to describe a warning.
- We use factual prompts rather than invented figures.
- We direct you to your manual and qualified help rather than speculating about faults.
Recognition first, then the manual, then the professionals. That order runs through every page.
Independence
We are not affiliated with any vehicle manufacturer, dealer, repairer or roadside service. We do not sell parts or diagnostic tools. Brand and product names appear only to identify real features.
